So today in science class, an extremely religious boy did a presentation about Charles Darwin and his Theory of Evolution. His presentation had the facts, nothing about thinking Professor Darwin was the devil (like some christians I have met), nothing like that. But after the powerpoint was over, he said plainly: "I disagree with this though." The teacher nodded, as having a religious opinion is allowed in canada. But then, I had this massive fucking brainwave and raised my hand.
Me: So, we all know that God created the universe in seven days, and we also know that to God, a million years is a minute. So, what if Him creating the universe actually took millions of years, but to Him it felt like only a minute, and from then on He described it to us as only being seven days, but it was actually millions and billions of years? And so, in those "seven days" all the animals, including ourselves, had time to evolve and become animals we know today? And what if, the people who are saying Earth is only a few thousand years old, are misinterpriting it wrong? And what if the humans at the time (who knew nothing of science or evolution, God having created the animals and plants and such millions of years before them) just accepted this and moved on? And What if-
Thats about where I got cut off by my christian friend who was growing increasingly angry, and was shouting and screaming at me, and who was asked to leave the room. And later on,Iwas called to the office and questioned about what had happened, and the principal stated my behaviour was unacceptable.
I think there is some sort of illuminati that is trying to cover up my brilliance...
