Here she is, weather he likes it or not. Raphael’s arms are bursting with Christmas decorations from quite literally all over the world. There’s tinsel, of course, lanterns, a whole variety of baubles and even sea shells from Australia. In fact there may well me a small miracle at hand here, for no one can carry all that with a tree tucked under their arm and a ginger bread house. Granted that’s not technically what her powers are for but well, it is Christmas. She all but kicks the door of the bookshop open and a pair of...strangely realistic antlers with bells on is all that can be seen of the top of her head.

You would never have guessed that the man speaking was once a doctor, still is a doctor technically, in theory. All sense of propriety seems to have been long thrown out the window and he leans his elbows onto the dirty pub table. He is dressed in only an old shirt, trousers that have seen better days, and braces, with no jacket or even a handkerchief to adorn the outfit. Clearly he is a man fallen on hard times, but you wouldn’t guess it from the way his eyes are shining. 

      “When you read it you’re left completely in the dark as to who,        or what Gil-Martin is. You can’t even say completely for sure                 what’s actually happened in the book and what’s just lies. It’s              madness, but it’s inspired madness.” 

He grins at the man across from him in delight, and with no small amount of self consciousness. The other man is almost blinding in his beauty and Watson can’t help but be ashamed of his own haggard appearance. Still, he’s not sure he could stop talking to the stranger if he wanted to; and he most certainly doesn’t want to.

@bibliophilc what makes me laugh is that raph is literally the patron saint of youth so she’s all like,,,Down With The Kids and is probably 100% up to date with all memes, past, present and tbh future so while az is trying awkwardly to blend in and be Youthfull(tm) raph’s just sat there laughing and all “dicks out for lucifer”
