The Bichura is a house spirit from Turkish folklore. Descriptions of its appearance vary. It is said to often appear as a cat or dog, or sometimes with a frightening, monstrous appearance. Other times, it is described as a small person in a red dress.
Every house is said to have a Bichura. Some are benevolent, and will perform household chores and warn of coming danger. More often than not, however, they are a nuisance, harassing horses in stables overnight and breaking dishes.
