I also have a question about Lazuli--he must be able to fight, since he clawed his way to the top of Machra-la. What kind of weapons does he prefer and what style does he use?
Lazuli can definitely fight when he has to, and has no doubt done so on many occasions!
Fighting style would be “dirty”, ie doing whatever it takes to win. His main strengths are speed, agility and quite a bit of strength, and being able to read an opponent’s any small tells even in the heat of battle.
As for favoured weapons, I’m tempted to say “anything he can get his hands on”. He’s probably practiced extensively with most kinds of traditional weapons as well as more... inspired heat-of-the-moment weapons. I do imagine he’d favour semi-short blades, though, simply because they allow for a lot of movement and a lot of damage done in close quarters, playing to his strengths. Then again, I think he’d still be every bit as deadly unarmed.
Overall, he prefers not to fight - it’s easy to get hurt, or damaged, maybe even killed. It’s a lot neater to pay or pressure someone else into doing the dirty work.
But when attacked, he’s lethal and absolutely merciless.
