I got adventurous, cut some tubes up sewed them together then added fabric to create a mat. Looks like it would be a good beach mat, yoga mat, play mat.i will have to find some vintage fabric to use as backing for the mats.

This bag is simple made from bicycle inner tubes, vintage material and valve stem charm. I have a 1970's and a 1980's sewing machine, they do a pretty good job of sewing the tube together. I have to use tissue paper on the bottom and baby powder on the top to get the pressure foot to glide over the rubber. I guess saving all that gift bag tissue was a good idea. I will have to come up with other designs for the scrapes from my mats. I love making the mats.
This gentlemen is amazing with wire! To have the money to purchase one of his larger pieces would be awesome. Covington craft fair was a great experience, met some talented artists and enjoyed the day with my daughter. I aspire to have a booth at art/craft/fairs/festivals.... Need to make more inventory.
I am trying not to have waste form weaving my mats. This is my first attempt at a bag from bicycle inner tubes. I believe I will use the valves as some form a decoration on the bag.
