BLUE STOLE THE SHOW AT BATH IN FASHION
Blue took the catwalk by storm at Bath In Fashion, last Friday, with trends inspired from Barcelona, France and Germany.
From the sports luxe look to modern takes on classics, Blue displayed the height of style, throughout their Spring Summer Collections. From quirky Spanish designs to beautifully made French classics, all teamed cleverly with fun and contemporary footwear and accessories.
On arrival, guests were greeted with complimentary coffee and were able to walk around the beautiful lobby to observe the Nicolas Oakwell couture gown, previously worn by Cheryl Cole for the final of the X Factor and glamour model Erin O’connor. Also displayed was footage of the couture piece being hand stitched.
Bath Assembly Rooms was buzzing with excited guests, as the show opened with a futuristic light display, as music pumped through various collections from local shops, including independents from around Bath. The show was so unique for this reason and we especially loved the creativity of the outlandish Bath Spa University Collection, whose theme this season was Black on Black. Their collection showcased structured shapes and complex technical cuts, which were impactful and impressive on the catwalk. All hair was designed by The Loft’s neighbours - Artizan, which truly complimented the clothing.
The Zandra Rhodes Spring Summer Collection, which was on sale throughout the entire week at Blue, was a spectacular delight to see, as the models floated in bright, bold prints, gracefully dropping petals reinforcing an elegant essence of Spring.
The wonderful fashion shows could not have taken place without Nicholas Wylde Goldsmith & Jeweller, who finished the show with a stunning range of colourfully jewelled rainmacs, worn by models with glistening umbrellas and a single ballerina in shining white with clear crystal jewels on her coat.
Finally, Nicholas Wylde closed the show with a collaboration piece by himself and iconic fashion designer Zandra Rhodes, which was promoted by a raffle, to win the gorgeous pendant necklace they designed together for the 2016 Bath In Fashion catwalk shows. All proceeds from ticket sales will go to support three charities: People Against Poverty; RUH Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Now.
