Updated version of my last piece to celebrate the new champs.
UPDATE: Thank you everyone that circulated this. I have found a buyer. The Wiggly painting is also still for sale if you or someone you know may be interested in it. I will likely have other paintings/items to sell soon.
Please send inquiries to [email protected] Please also be aware that I am US based.
Do you like The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals? Do you like cool paintings? Well good news for you. I have a set of The Guy Who Didn't Like Musical's paintings that I am looking to sell.
I won't lie. My decision to sell these is driven by the fact that my financial situation is between a rock and a hard place as of late. I won't got into much detail besides to say best laid plans have a way of going wrong.
I would heavily prefer to keep them together as a set, so please only inquire if you're prepared to own 7 paintings.
If you are not looking for 7 paintings, I also have this Wiggly painting that I am open to selling as well.
been waiting till I’m awake enough to properly articulate how much I appreciate @bi-force-1 and @weebsneku for surprising me with THIS ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE??
they’ve been carrying me through The Horrors for the past year or so, and are amazing friends with amazing talents and brain thoughts 🥺
also everyone should considering commissioning Bi-Force this is me staring at you with my big giant blue eyes.

Vague chart of Elias through the events of New Vegas, go! Warning for fairly graphic description of his eye injury within.
Before Benny. Still a pretty chipper looking lad. Tries to keep up with his shaving on the road, but will let his hair get a bit long.
After Benny. The first gunshot doesn't hit true and skims over the top of his skull cutting a nasty gouge. The second shot hits center. However, Doc Mitchell prides himself on his needlework so once he shaves some of the hair out of the way, the injuries don't have a large impact on his appearance.
Primm - Novac. Elias starts to get sloppy with his shaving, being in a rush and learning how to cope with how his mind has changed after his traumatic brain injury. His hair starts to grow back out. He salvages gear here and there to equip himself or trade to make ends meet.
After The Repconn Test Site Injury. While attempting to solve the issues between the Ghouls and Nightkin, Elias' luck runs out for just a moment and a Nightkin clips his face with a bumper sword. The "cut" is fairly clean until it reaches his eye. Crushing the delicate orb, cracking his orbital bone and jaw. Catching on the skin and ripping it off in a chunk and leaving it hanging from his face. Boone is with him and manages to get him out of there and back to town where Ada Strauss, someone with decidedly less needle work skill, pulls his face back together and scoops out the crushed eye. For the most part, the right side of his face is paralyzed after this. Her work isn't the best and even with stim-packs, the injury has to be securely wrapped and kept clean.
Onward. Elias largely gives up on shaving, will occasionally trim his hair, and goes to lengths to keep the damaged to his face covered long after getting better treatment from the Followers and the Auto Doc in Big Mt. A sort of maladaptive denial that his life has gone so sideways.

OC & Canon
"Well, thanks for taking a chance on a naive young girl from California with stars in her eyes and a pneumatic gauntlet on her hand."
He should've been the last person Veronica Santangelo would've wanted to hitch her wagon to. Maybe it wouldn't have happened if she didn't...
Elias was a heavily wounded bulk of a man on his last threads of coherency that stumbled into the 188 Trading Post being followed by a shady eye-bot, but she still asks him if she can go with him. Maybe she thought only a guy with that much head trauma would agree to let a member of the Brotherhood of Steel follow the around.
Whatever it was, Elias considers himself indebted to her. Without her, he would've been dead in the dirt when migraines and worsening infection left him hardly able to walk in a straight line. It's only because of her he makes it to the Mormon Fort. After he recovers, they're all but attached at the hip with Arcade Ganon tagging along out of a sense of duty to protect the big dummy that is Elias.
She joins him on almost all his odd jobs to raise money. She lives with him when a shady apartment in Westside is all they can afford for shelter. Together with Arcade, they do just about everything they can to improve the lives of of the less fortunate of New Vegas. Forming a bond that Elias equates to that of what having a nice sister would be like. Even if he has his reservations about the Brotherhood of Steel, he's more than happy to try and help them because it's her.

Memory
"Who gives a shit what the old man wants? If you want to go, you should."
There is a hole in Elias' head. There are holes in his memories. There is a gaping wound in his sense of self.
He is painfully aware that he is not the man he was before being shot in the head. The Elias before didn't have such a hard time thinking even if he wasn't ever much good at it. The Elias before didn't jump to anger when frustrated. The Elias before would not have beat a chem dealer to death with his bare hands no matter how much he might've deserved it.
He can remember his home back in the NCR, his family, his father. A cold man so concerned with the family's reputation. Something that somehow did not stop him throwing out his first wife after he got Elias' mother pregnant with him. He remembers his elder half-brother.
Unlike his sister, he didn't scorn Elias for the circumstances of his birth. Their father's selfishness and betrayal of their mother was his and his alone. Not the fault of the little boy who had the bad luck to be the product of it.
Late at night when he cannot sleep, Elias remembers him. He remembers everything his brother taught him about scrapping and repairing during the long hours spent in the junkyards their family managed. He remembers all the guidance and advice he would give that their father was too indifferent to provide. He remembers how he urged him to pursue what he wanted to do and not whatever vision their father had for the sake of the family's reputation.
He tries so very hard every night to remember, but it never comes to him. Like a word on the tip of the tongue, he cannot remember what his brother's face looks like.
Would he recognize him if he saw him? Would his brother even recognize him?

Pre game & Post game
"It's said war - war never changes. Men do, through the roads they walk."
Born in the NCR as the first son of his father's second wife, Elias Ables is a simple man. Leaving behind his rather well off family, he pursed the life of a courier. For a long time no doing much beyond eating, sleeping, making deliveries, and trying not to think too hard about very much. Thinking wasn't something he was ever much good at.
And then a bullet ripped through his skull under the light of a full moon. And all he could think of after was why?
He's not cut out for many of the challenges required to get the answer. Not smart enough, not clever enough, never quite able to find the right words that would've made his journey easier. He scrapes by on toughness and luck.
He never wanted to be someone that changed the world. That was something smarter people than he did.
When he wakes up in a Follower's tent after the second battle for Hoover Dam, he hears the celebrations happening outside. He can hardly remember it, but he defeated Legate Lanius and somehow negotiated a sort of peace between the NCR, the Followers of the Apocalypse, and New Vegas.
By all rights, he should celebrate too, but he doesn't. He can't. The road to this ending had already taken so much and now the damage inflicted in the final battle means he can't even get out of bed.
And he can't stop thinking. How many more lives could he have saved? What conflicts could he have avoided if he had just been smarter, cleverer, more charismatic? How many more decisions about the lives of others will he be expected to make once the dust settles and his wounds heal?
He misses when he was just a courier.
