The weather forecast said there would be a chance of rain in the evening, but it said nothing about the chances of a daredevil falling from a high, ill-advised place and landing in some bushes with a thump and an ouch.
Lothric and Lorian are at the Boardwalk in the Golden Ward to check out prices and atmosphere for a project. The sight of the roller coasters is already making Lothric question why on earth people are attracted to risk and excitement. Lorian has already resolved to get on one (if he can fit), and they’ve already decided to postpone that until Lothric can find somewhere ‘safe’ to share the experience. Sharing a headspace can be complicated, especially when they’re very different people.
If Lothric had been told to look for a daredevil at the park, he’d start looking for the scariest-looking rides. It’s a whole new and awful level of abstraction to consider that someone might be climbing on the structures themselves. When someone falls out of the sky, he has no idea why it happened or what’s going on. But that must have hurt! He comes closer, reaching the fellow in a few teleports...just out of grabbing distance.
“Oh dear goodness!” he yelps, hands pressed to his mouth. “Are you alright? I-I have a healing miracle, but it is not suited to grave injuries... I can call the hospital...”
As if on cue, it gently starts to rain.
