[WACTOR] Saohime Yue by 美学 (@bigaku)
This haiku by Buson (1716-83) shows the Japanese sense of beauty (bigaku) based on 'mono no aware' or "the intense feeling for things ephemeral"
This haiku has 'ma' or "empty spaces", unwritten silences in between words, silences pregnant w/ meaning which the reader must fill in
06.01.18 Marginal Consort are collective improvisation group founded by members of East Bionic Symphonia, an outfit assembled from students of Fluxus artist Takehisa Kosugi’s class at the radical Bigaku school of aesthetics in Tokyo in the ‘70s. Meeting only once each year since their formation in 1996, Marginal Consort discuss nothing before their annual performances, preferring to gather as a collective of horizontally organized independent solos rather than a cohesive goal-oriented ensemble. The start and end times are the only fixed elements in their long-form happenings, usually lasting two-to-four hours and featuring the players spread out across the performance space, distant enough to concentrate on perfecting their own work without distraction.
They staged an excellent performance at Pioneer Works, presented by Blank Forms. The participants for the happening were Taj-Mahal Traveller Kazuo Imai, engineer Kei Shii, artist and Gap member Masami Tada, and musician Tomonao Koshikawa.
Practicing late 80′s anime aesthetics. More to come.

The Bow of Rain ~ AMENO-YUMI
written & composed by Tsuyoshi Domoto
English translation/interpretation of the lyric by me.
*note: love and sorrow are both pronounced as [ai] in Japanese (and Chinese ^_^)
-------------------------------
No need to love someone else
Loving only you is enough
Words simply exist...
yet, I desperately misunderstood the meaning of "love/ sorrow"
Today... the eyelids crumbled again
While the heartbeat is going
Indeed, indeed, we passionately loved
I didn't want to admit
that the way I found you was a miracle...
The day you disappeared
that sky seemed so far...
tears swelling up in blue
stream down the cheeks in red
Not wanting to blame anyone...
Thoughts of sorrow is to be loved
The bow of rain, (Ameno - yumi)
from this place where sorrow rained,
If the sunlight was to strike,
would it be able to reach all the way across to you?
All those things that benumbed you
I would hold them for you forever
Whenever you fall sleep
the stillness of your breath
so quiet it makes me tremble from fear
The fact that I can love you
The fact that I can love you is beautiful
No need to love someone else
I want to love you only...
