I'm not sure how to process this. Maybe I should just be grateful and excited and not over think it. I really believed that I was going to have to check on getting a motorized chair. The pain and inflammation in my joints had me practically dragging my right leg. I'm too heavy and not as active as I should be, so I figured this was "it" and everything would be downhill from here. Then, it occurred to me to go meatless...again. The first time I ever did it, my blood pressure dropped and I started to feel good. I then started to feel kind of weak and attributed it to the lack of protein. Eventually, I was living a paleo lifestyle, except the meat I was eating; the kind that's affordable and accessible to most of us, was crap. Before I knew it, I was eating whatever I wanted again. I injured my Achilles' and moving became tough. My right leg got really gnarled up with inflammation. About two weeks ago, I decided to make a change and nix the meat again. I can honestly say that after such a short time, I'm walking much better. I can stand and bend my knee much better and my hobbly gait has transitioned to a very mild limp that's practically unnoticeable, even to me. I'm not going back. I need my mobility. I won't say #veganism is THE way everyone should go, but it's definitely working in my favor. #vegan #vegansofig #nutritarian #plantbased #gout #arthritis #inflammation #health #fatrelease #wellness #wholehealth #Austin #ATX #delicious #blackvegansrock #BigBodiesBootCamp (at Austin, Texas)
