The green anaconda is the heaviest snake in the world. the species is also known as the common anaconda and water boa.
The African Rock Python (Python sebae) is with out a doubt Africa’s biggest snake and it has a particularly aggressive reputation.
Their scientific name Python sebae, derives from the Greek mythology, and in a very appropriate manner it refers to a huge snake.
In one account a specimen killed in 1958 and reportedly 7 m (23 ft) in length, was claimed to have eaten a 1.5 m (4 ft 11 in) juvenile Nile crocodile.
Because of its exceptional size, and its temperament, the African rock python is not a species that many keepers, especially novices, should choose to maintain.
