okay in all honesty I think bigils beep is one I want to convert into an original story instead! Chained Rose is... so canon-specific that I think the dramatic tension of it all (Why is Blake acting like that? Where is Yang? What happened to Ruby? What is Cinder planning?) falls flat without the context of canon

Bigils Beep however is "what if there was a milfy werewolf and she was so, so tired" which is universal and does not need you to know much about a web animation series to understand it.

Every time I see the words “bigils beep” I activate like a fucking sleeper soldier. If bigils beep has one fan, then I am him. If bigils beep is forgotten, then I will remember. I am on a goddamn crusade. It’s playing with themes you often examine in other works, but something about That Specific Combo makes my pupils dilate like I just snorted 18 metric tons of crack cocaine

It was ages ago but I still viscerally remember that scene from those original chapters of Vigil's Keep where Cinder gets her throat clawed open but just... instantly heals it. The sudden graphic violence was always such a tonal shock and the way you described it really stuck with me. Also the joke about Ruby not noticing that Yang is a werewolf because she can't even keep track of her own period, much less the moon, is still hilarious

absolutely NOTHING is stopping me from naming a character something like “Selene” or “Janus” or maybe even “Monday” and give them a surname that also means moon like “Luna” and then I would have CANONICAL MOON MOON

does Rhonwen = Glynda? Do you have new names for everyone, and if so can you share them yet? I'm curious

They’re placeholder names for now! Just so that I can start mentally divorcing them from the source material and make it easier for me to turn them into what I need them to be.

Glynda = RhonwenCinder = Camilla Ruby = Thorn Blake = KiraYang = ????? 

Shipwise I’m leaning heavily towards Ladybug and Freezerburn as always. And of course Cinder/Glynda is the main ship as they accidentally adopt four puppy werewolves together.

A protagonist who is both physically very powerful and also socially aware and emotionally intelligent .... is it possible? Or am I gonna have to nerf this woof in order to force her to grow?

okayyyyyyy so instead of reaching a certain word count this year I thiiiiink I want to write a booooooook i guessssssssssssss (trying to keep enthusiasm level low and moderated because when i jump into something too excited I burn out sooooo fassssst ughhhh) anyway I want to turn bigils beep into a novel because to borrow my own words RT doesn’t deserve any more of my creative energy
