BigSQL
The IBM implementation of hadoop is very interesting, and as usual it named with big* No animals running around in the blue zone. It is more interesting as the SQL features are rather rich (or splendid) than all other vendors. Well, SQL was born from IBM, so no surprise they could just implement every aspect of it.

It is interesting to work the dataset in R either thru the bigr package or the DB2 ODBC (you read it right, DB2 odbc, that is what interface they bring on, familiar experience, well if you ever use DB2)
