Ber: His eyes are pure glowing light as a result of his complete mastery and submission to the magic of his armor.

Besene: Her sister and family and basically everyone of similar social standing disapproved of her relationship with Bos, so her rebellious streak definitely played into her decision to marry him and make their thing official- but by marrying him according to the customs of the Traders not the Warring Lands. Aka: *gasp* what a scandal!

Biitka: He is really good at making bird calls.

Bos: He’s like the human equivalent of a warm bear hug.

Brond: He’s pretty sure he’d get beaten in a fight if anyone actually bothered to back up their words because he’s out of practice and physically disabled. Fortunately he’s basically never without either Namri at his side or a bunch of guard students who prevent most people from doing much more than barking.

OC Day B - Biitka

His first appearance:

The three children who had been there before helped get water from it for two kids Ri guessed were the twins the young woman had spoken about, and three of the other kids that had been rescued. They all took turn dunking their hands and head into the bucket and washing. The last kid, a child maybe three years old, stood on his own, tapping his chest with one hand while the other hung limp at his side.

Ri immediately headed to him, and one of the children called out in Imperial, “He does not speak.”

That did not mean he did not understand what they were saying, which meant she had to try.

“Hello,” Ri attempted in Imperial as she knelt down to sit even with his face. He looked away from her though and continued to tap his chest. “My name is Ri,” she said, and he turned his head the other way, opening and closing his mouth without a sound or attempt to make it.

“He does not understand you,” the first child who had spoken said. “It is useless to try.”

Ri shook her head and turned back to the child she was speaking with. “I know you can understand me,” she said, and tapped her own chest in the same rhythm the boy tapped his. He turned his head at that and stared at her. “I have trouble speaking sometimes too. So do Raln and Nes.”

A little later:

When Brond descended down the stairs, he greeted Namri first, then turned to Ri. “Another kid?”

“Yes,” Ri said, and dared him to say another word. He did not take her up on it though and took a few uneasy [uneasy as in Brond has a limp] steps towards Biitka where he reached out a hand for the kid to take.

Biitka stared at it for a moment or two before he reached up a brown hand and wrapped his small fingers around one of Brond’s.

“Come sit on the couch,” Brond said in Southern, and earned a tilt of his head from Biitka that meant he understood what was being said, and that he was paying attention.

“Brond,” Namri said as Brond hoisted Biitka into the air.
