What it was. The disparate #Threads set up in parts one and two certainly come together here‚ to a degree‚ but I'm not sure I could call the resolution... Satisfying?#Certainly... Interesting. I'm no clearer on who or what Brond himself is (government agent? Professional agitator? Devil incarnate?) but #I'm more resigned to the idea that that's kind of the point. Quite where most of the characters stand‚ on which side of the political (and #I suppose moral) line they stand... Well that's sort of up in the air too. An... Experience. The closest thing to it I can think of is #Howard Brenton's Dead Head‚ which had aired in 4 parts on the BBC the previous year. Both are unapologetically weird and‚ to a degree‚#Incomprehensible (by design). Both paint in broad strokes while puzzling over minor details. Both are... An experience. I've thought of #Dead Head many times since j watched it‚ sometimes with fondness sometimes with puzzlement. I imagine the same will be true here
