So just over a year ago in NYC a random meeting happened outside a coffee shop on 4th Ave and Bleeker StreetI got chatting to Mat @rucola_63 and took his pic. He was over racing in the @redhookcrit of 2016. The talented riders you see in the video are riders I have known thanks to @onewheelwavey who introduced me to @jake100_ a few year back while his knee was healing from a operation and was itching to get back on his bike in fact he was back on the bike much sooner than the doctors predicted the other rider is @indaair_lew who I had spoken to on insta and got to meet through the @naughtynorthtwin @bugsygmb and that was the day I met the big man @writeoffworld himself who started #bikestormz a few year back also which sadly I'm always on the road and miss. When I met Mat he wanted to meet Jake, Lew and the other prominent riders who do wheelies and other stunts on peddle bikes so I set up the meeting with Mac, Jake and Lew to come together and collab with Mat so they could show of their talents which has come to fruition with Mat getting them a slot at the opening of the race to do a show at the Redhook Crit in London. It's so fantastic and these young men are going to kill it showing the individual skills that they have while performing stunts just like you can see in the video but they have many more. So I guess the moral of the story above is don't be afraid to talk to strangers you never know what might evolve down the road that can create opportunities on both sides for a beautiful collaboration. Since meeting Mat he also set up a charity to get kids into track and road racing called @1lifecycle which is making its mark also.
