Satellite navigation
A beta version of the GPS Navigator will be available to Bike HUD owners soon. The GPS Navigator gives clear directions in the Bike HUD in-helmet display as well as audio instructions via the rider’s headset. GPS Navigator makes use of a smartphone app connected through Bluetooth (iOS supported at launch, Android support to follow).
Pricing and launch date of the GPS Navigator are yet to be confirmed, but are expected to be in Spring 2014, ready for the start of the riding season.
Examples of Bike HUD Sat Nav: as shown below the Bike HUD shows the rider travelling at 32mph/kph with a turn left onto Starling road coming up in less than 500 metres/yards.
Safety Cameras
Safety Camera Location to ensure you’re always on the right side of safety and the law. We’ll be offering support for more than 38 countries – so if you travel you’ll be able to download the latest update before you leave. Our new system ensures the following:-
Safety camera database of all fixed, temporary, red-light and mobile cameras, updated on a monthly basis.
Speed sensitive alert. The faster you are travelling the earlier you are alerted of a potential safety issue.
Different types of camera are identified so you know the hazard approaching is a Stop sign, Variable, mobile or average so that you can plan accordingly.
Announcements are audio and visual. You can turn either or both off for each camera type.
Simple USB upgrade allows the rider to keep up to date with the minimal of fuss.
Bike Hud Safety Camera release date has yet to be confirmed but we are aiming to release it around the same time as the Sat Nav Add on in Spring 2014. The Monthly Subscription Service will be £7.50 in the UK & Europe and $9.97 in the US and Rest of the World.
