Finally got to work on this early #DirkBikkembergs leather jacket, from 1989 if I remember correctly. Restoring a garment invites you to discover its details: Asymmetric panels, wild topstitching and subtle flourishes of weird scattered throughout the design make it a real stand out. In my opinion, #Bikkembergs is one of the most important menswear designers of their generation. Their work was complex, generous and beyond fashionable.
