Waar (2013) is an English-language Pakistani action film directed by Bilal Lashari. It is written and produced by Hassan Waqas Rana. The film is reported to star Shaan Shahid, Meesha Shafi, Ali Azmat, Shamoon Abbasi and Ayesha Khan, among others. The film is based on events surrounding the War on Terror.
Locations for the filming were reported in 2011 to include Lahore, Islamabad and the Swat Valley, with some scenes shot in Istanbul and Rome. MindWorks Media is the studio. The film will be distributed by Warner Bros. The budget was reported to be PKR: 170 million (US$ 2 million).
