B: Any of your stories inspired by personal experience?

Today I'm going to post Sick Day for the Barson Bingo which was inspired by yesterday when I had a heavy flu. Other than that I once wrote a fanfic called Ashes for the the Good Wife fandom and the first chapter had a big scene from Alicia Florrick dealing with grief. While I have yet to experience grief as an adult, my depression gave me a good insight on the emptiness the character was feeling. NSFW here, but I also use my body for testing theories and will sometimes write the results into my smut pieces.

H: How would you describe your style?

Oof, this one is tough. I'd say I'm mostly a smut writer who is focused on characterization. Everything can go to shit: scenario, plot, even smut, but characterization is of essence to me and I'm off bothered by stories who are Out of Character.

I: Do you have a guilty pleasure in fic (reading or writing)?

I don't think I do, but I'll sometimes read Out of Character fanfiction for the sake of a good premise, though I'll hate myself afterwards and write something to cleanse my palate.

L: How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting?

Depends on the piece. If I have a long piece with many scenes, I'll write a scene, revise it, write the next scene, revise, then revise it all, then I'll post it. If it isn't to my satisfaction, I'll try and rewrite, then revise it. If it's still not working, I'll put it aside and let another prompt show or my motivation to go away.

Basically, it varies from one to four times. It really depends on the piece. But I'll reread it at least once before posting it.

M: Got any premises on the back burner that you’d care to share?

Currently, I've got Caught In the Act for Barson, Jealousy for Dragatha, and I've also being playing with the idea of Montero (Call Me by Your Name) by Lil Nas X for Dragatha too. No idea when these will come around, but they're coming.

🏆fic you're most proud of?

Thrive. It's not done (will I ever finish?) but it is, in my opinion, my best story in every possible way. I mean, except the whole... not finished part oops.

So many I could die. In a perfect world, I'd finally be writing that General Danvers/Fearless Queen crossover AU. Alien Regina and Martian Olivia!! Need I say more?

- I think it was about trying to wake up in time for church today, which i straightforwardly did not do

- only people in my family. we call one another by our last name often

45:Do you believe exes can be friends?

- absolutely, given enough time and depending on the circumstances of the breakup! one of my best friends is also my first ex <3. i think if you were friends before and you don't completely emotionally devastate one another, you can be friends.

I’ve written fics for so many fandoms but writing Olivia is just something I love to do. She’s just a character that I connect with so much which makes it easier to get into her head and the internal thoughts she has.

🥰 fave fic you’ve written?

Oh, this is a tough one, but I think I have two that I'm most proud of. It would be Witness for Barson and Devious Creatures for Dragatha.

Devious Creatures because it's one that took me a lot of time, many different prompts and it helped me loads as a writer, it showed me abilities I didn't know I had.

Witness I wrote with the assistance of my ex-girlfriend, she provoked me to write better than my first draft and it made me set the scene as I had never done before, which was an issue I had for a long time. This piece helped loads and I love rereading it.

💡what inspires your fic ideas?

I'm a creature of habit, I love routine, which means that every month I go to Writer's Write and grab their monthly prompts. Each day there's a prompt. And they're not the only ones feeding me prompts. So, most days, I'll read a prompt and will transform it (or them) into a story.

HOWEVER, that's not always the case.

Once I was sitting in my bed, it was raining and my curtains moved because of the wind, and my mind clicked. There! I had it! I started a series of stories about my ships waking up together in different situations.

My favorite author put this in perfect words when asked a similar question. He said:

"You get ideas from daydreaming. You get ideas from being bored. You get ideas all the time. The only difference between writers and other people is we notice when we're doing it. You get ideas when you ask yourself simple questions. The most important of the questions is just, What if...? (What if you woke up with wings? What if your sister turned into a mouse? What if you all found out that your teacher was planning to eat one of you at the end of term - but you didn't know who?)"

📒 any fics planned?

The amazing @/simpforbarba created Barson Bingo August 2021 and I'm currently devoted to finishing the bingo before the month is over. But I have at least two more Barson and a Dragatha fanfics to write.
