So, I'm trying to describe something in a scene and... ‘le petite mort’ is the only way I have to convey it.

Y U DO DIS FRENCH!?

Like, I'm not fluent anymore, but for some reason that phrase is just ****ing perfect and it does NOT translate.

안녕하세요!

Hey everyone! I'm Aleijda. I come from Finland. I decided to make a sideblog for my language studies. I will probably be reblogging useful things and maybe writing some texts for practice here and there.

I am a Finnish native so feel free to ask me if you have any questions about Finland or Finnish!💕

I speak English more or less fluently. I am an intermediate at French, and my Swedish is alsi intermediate but a bit worse than my French. I am an upper beginner at Italian and a beginner at Korean.

Most of these languages I am also learning at school. Korean is the only one that I have started by myself. I really love the language and I'm willing to put in a lot of work! Korean is my main focus right now, at least for the summer and probably to the end of the year. After that I probably have to focus on the languages I will take exams on. I hope I can reach a B1 level in this time. I know it can be difficult, but I am really motivated.

I am interested in all languages. I would love to learn Russian, Dutch and Estonian at some point... But not yet haha! Now I am going to really focus on Korean. But I will probably be reblogging various posts about these languages and many others as well.

We'll see what happens lol, I am really excited to have this blog as a part of my language studies.

Marie Kondo is great, I really admire her work and the passion behind her. But honestly I think people under appreciate Iida, her translator. Like, do you know how hard it is to sound intelligent when translating live? This girl does it in seconds, and without flaws! Like, she doesnt even forget words. It is almost magic

tsé quand t’essaies d’écrire un mot dans une langue mais là tu finis par l’écrire dans l’autre mais c’est comme si c’est juste normal? 

genre j’étais juste en train d’écrire une phrase en anglais et je voulais dire “and” mais là j’ai tapé “et” pis ça m’a pris quelques minutes en regardant l’écran pour catcher pourquoi la phrase me semblait pas correct

Sometimes you're talking and you keep switching constantly between the two languages, only to end up saying shit like "agrego contigo".
