With a lot of hard work, actually! It was my first time making molds and casting them, so a few things didn’t quite go as planned, but the end result is fantastic IMO.
A video tutorial I found extremely useful to understand what I was doing was Bill Doran’s two-part mold video.

After watching this and some other neat videos on his channel, I bought some suitable clay, modeled the Eliacube in it, casted a mold from it and filled that up with clear polymer resin with a slight blue dye in it, resulting in the fine beast you commented on!
