Hockey’s most hated player just asked me to marry him.
Connor Grace is the league’s bad boy–and my best friend’s worst enemy.
He’s the fallen prince of a famous hotel chain dynasty.
Me? I’m the foster kid who grew up to be a librarian.
I never thought I’d end up in a marriage of convenience to make someone’s grandma happy, but here we are.
I have no plans to kiss my husband for any reason other than show.
I have no plans to fall in love with the arrogant man dressed in a custom suit hiding intricate tattoos.
But when we’re alone, he drops the mask he wears for the rest of the world.
He holds me like he means it when he says I’m his.
And I want to believe him.
Too bad I learned early on that fairytales aren’t real, and nothing good lasts forever.

My Review
5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Oh, how I LOVED this book!! It is my new “Favorite”of the Toronto Terror Series!!
This beautiful marriage of convenience brings, ALL THE FEELS! It is captivating, charming, overwhelming, and I was consumed, unable to put this one down. But my heart hurt as well for Mildred and Connor!
This is Connor Grace and Mildred “Dred” Reformer’s Journey and it was Enthralling!
Mildred owes over $100,000 in back rent to her Grandmother’s landlord and doesn’t know how she will ever pay this back. So she makes a deal with the villain of the team Connor Grace, to marry him and stay with him until his grandmother, Meems dies, who turns out to be her favorite library friend.
Connor is so misunderstood, by his teammates and by his family too, villainized to the point where he believes their misconceptions. But we have seen another side to him in “I Could Be Yours”, when he saves the day.
His grandmother “Meems” is the only one who knows the real Connor, until Mildred!
Mildred is so full of light, even though she has gone through so much, and survived all the pain with the full knowledge of her own self worth. I was intrigued and amazed how she handled the situations with Connor’s father as well as Connor himself. Such patience and control!
Mildred reasons for doing this are motivated entirely by love, for her friends, for Meems, for the people she helps with the programs she builds at the library, for every kid she spends time with who doesn’t have a mother.
Mildred is so full of warmth, and love, selfless and giving to all in her circle.
And Connor…knows all of this about her and wants it for himself.
This had me giggling, laughing out loud, gasping in disbelief and crying with joy as these two let down their walls and open their hearts.
I Loved everything about this book. Connor and Mildred, the twins, Meems, and the special camaraderie between Mildred‘s best friends and the team as well as Connor’s sisters.
This book was full of love and hope, and the possibilities of the future and I am positive I will be reading this again and again!! Loved it and so will you!
