Never Fall for Your Fake Husband
For all intents and purposes, these two are married.
Claire is the live-in nanny for Nick’s daughter, Olivia. Nick’s first wife died in a car crash when Olivia was just two months old. Theo, Claire’s older brother and Nick’s business partner, got Claire to be the nanny, and really, she’s the only mother Olivia has ever known.
There’s just one little hitch…Claire is hopelessly in love with Nick. So when he asks her to be his “wife” in order to close a business deal, she’s definitely not acting.
Nick isn’t oblivious to Claire, but he thinks he’s never going to take that actual step into dating her. But when they’re at this business retreat, which has other companies vying for the one Nick wants to acquire, those pesky feelings come to the forefront.
It was clear to me in the first chapter that Nick and Claire should have gotten together a while ago, but fear of losing what they had kept them from admitting their feelings for each other. To be fair, Nick is great at being logical and he’s a great CEO, but he doesn’t quite know how to express feelings.
I loved this book, and if you love friends-to-more stories, you’ll love this book, too. It has a very satisfying happily ever after.
