Yesterday I was asked how I managed to interleave the right and left hand when playing the open close technique. Here you can see how I did it. I play in unison for a fixed amount of bars, and then I separate my hands out. Remember I’m left-handed so I’m leading with the left hand here. I usually go from two bars all the way up to 50. It’s similar to the famous “stone killer” exercise but applied to open close. In the photos you can see some close-ups of my practice kit that I have upstairs of my studio. It’s a Bill Sanders practice drum set. The manufactured by Bill in the UK and they’re really high quality. I believe you can order them from @footesuk in London. #openclosetechnique #billsanderspracticepads #footesdrumstore #drums #drummer #drumnosis #doublepedal #bassdrum #doublebassdrum #drumfam #drummerslife #drumteacher #drumlessons #drumstagran #drumsharing #mapexdrums #sabiancymbals #pearlpedals #teacher #teaching #vicfirthsticks #practice #practicing @sabiancymbals @sabian_uk @mapexuk @mapexdrums @vaterdrumsticks @pearl.unitedkingdom @pearl_drums (at Drumnosis Drum Tuition) https://www.instagram.com/p/CdgXE8ssFzc/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
