ok but the bit in silk that still gets me to this day is billy’s “i look after clive reader” like...god he loves his kids a lot even the idiot one !!! he gave his whole life to the chambers and to taking care of them both! he loves them unconditionally and he forgives clive all his bullshit idk man billy/clive/martha is literally so important 2 me
I have a Maths teacher who always calls me 'Miss' and it makes me think of Billy and omg it hurts
Silk on BBC Radio 4
If you like Silk... and you're still pretty annoyed it's ended... Go listen to THIS! Of course without Martha it's not quite the same but this is great. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b040lyfn It's the BBC Radio 4 play in three parts called "Silk: The Clerks Room" and stars Neil Stuke (Billy Lamb) , Theo Barklem-Biggs (Jake Milner) , Amy Wren (Bethany Brassington), John MacMillan (John Bright), Jessica Henwick (Amy Lang) and Miranda Raison (Harriet Hammond) and focuses on the Shoe Lane Clerks room. It's three episode series, each episode is a story about one of the junior clerks. The first episode about Jake, the second about Bethany and the last about John. It's rather brilliant :) It's a shame we never got a visual of it, because it's really nice to get a little more of Jake, John and Beth. But we can hear it here :) And the first episode just made me love Jake so much <3 He's such a sweetie, a little naive but good and kind hearted with a good hearth and morals.
Am I the only one who
A) Thinks Clive has rather grown up this series and is much more likable
B) Does NOT ship Martha and Clive
C) Thinks there's always been an unspoken chemistry between Martha and Billy and prefers their relationship to that of Clive and Martha's... just because Billy can confide anything in Martha even if he's in the wrong.
D) Thinks that Billy and Martha have a sort of "I love you to bits as much as I can without it becoming romantic but I will never tell you" relationship and loves that?
Silk thoughts tonight
New episode of Silk was so good.
MARTHA'S DANCING BLESS HER I LOVE HER
BUT WHY DID MARTHA FAINT IS SHE OKAY?
AND WHY WAS CAROLINE IN A MENTAL INSTITUTION?
I WISH BILLY WOULD TELL MARTHA HE'S ILL
MARTHA COULD HELP HIM GET THROUGH IT
I KNEW THERE SOMETHING ABOUT DAVID AT FIRST I THOUGHT HE MAYBE HAS ASPERGERS AND THEN I THOUGHT HE HAD A MENTAL HEALTH CONDITION MAKING HIM PARANOID
I just watch the first episode of the new series of Silk and I really enjoyed it. It wasn't my favourite episode, but overall It was good, as it always is! I might be a little bit in love with the show, (okay, a lot, definitely in love with 'Silk', and it's lovely cast) But I also felt the main story, which hit Chambers close to home, was a little bit rushed, but still wonderfully acted!
I hope they don't completely mess up Martha and Clive's relationship; it'll be interesting to see how a romantic relationship plays out, but I hope if it doesn't end well, they can at least stay friends. I really like their banter and I find it a lovely relief from the dark, serious courtrooms! (But i really want them to be together, if that's possible, please and thank you!!!!)
I also like the new character of Harriet, I think she's going to cause a lot of Drama in Chambers! Also, C.W, come here hun, have a cuddle and a gin, you sound like you need one! I also think she should look after Alan too, I thought they were adorable when they were waiting for the verdict, but I wanted them to hold hands, like Martha and David were! But maybe Alan should focus on his son for a bit....
So, to end my little ramblings, I think people need to give it a chance, there's only been one episode so far and it can only get better! I really love this show and I hope more people begin to as the series goes on!
P.S DON'T LET BILLY DIE , THEY NEED HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
