Shetland 10x05: a non-comprehensive list of SCREAMING, mostly about Ruth and Tosh

Holy shit, that was SUCH A GOOD EPISODE, I CAN'T EVEN.

OMFG that was DELICIOUS, I loved EVERY SECOND their FACES their ANGST holy shit

ALSO, so maybe poet guy actually did do the murder what the fuck, omfgggggg. (Or he didn’t and someone was like, sending him a message, because of the drugs stuff?? Is he actually the drugs guy at all???)

Either way, Ruth is never going to want to have anything to do with any man again after this

@cosmic-llin was immediately like “he’s gonna do something shifty with the gate and that’s how we’ll know” and then instantly guessed it would be the knot and she was RIGHT

The bit with the interrogation, where Tosh was really going for it, and Ruth just slipped into the good cop role, because they work as a team even when it's the opposite of their usual, and then Ruth realising something was properly up with Tosh.

AND THEN!!! Ruth doesn’t deal with anyone’s feelings about anything ever EXCEPT FOR TOSH, who she will sit down and be like “right, you’re going to tell me what’s wrong” and then tell her they’re a team and aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

EVEN WHEN SHE'S ALSO GOING THROUGH HER OWN SHIT

God, Billyyyyyy. I feel like there's no coming back from this for him on the show? Like, retirement maybe at the least?

Alison O'Donnell is brilliant. We knew this already, but my god she's doing incredible work with this. Tosh is so good and she so much can't at all believe when other people aren't as good as her, and her pain over this is incredible.

RUUUUUUUUUUUTH. Sitting at Louden's bedside all night! So torn up about it all and not able to deal with her own feelings! That scene with Alan! Her smiles and laughter in that last scene even when you're like, omg, noooooo.

My god they're both so hot when they're stressed and exhausted and hanging by a thread

Bless Sandy continuing to Do His Job while everyone around him is falling apart.

Truly an absolutely excellent episode of telly, is it next week yet???
