Just finished The Terminator (1984) for the first time!
I....loved it.
The characters were great, I loved how it was shot, the effects were mostly pretty good and the action and horror were very intense and well done.
If y’all haven’t seen this yet, what are you even doing?
~Spoilers under the cut!~
Okay.
First of all, I loved the cast.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, Michael Biehn, Lance Henriksen, Rick Rossovich and Bill Paxton I love and would protect with my life.
The Terminator was so cool and intimidating. Also unintentionally hilarious at times. I love that he has a list of responses like in video games.
I legit laughed out loud.
Kyle Reese.
I would DIE for that man. He’s such a sweetheart. I love him. He’s such an awkward bean. (heh.) What an absolute joy to watch. LOVED his character. Also, I totally called that he’d fall in love with Sarah and be John’s dad.
I called that.
It’s fine if things in movies are predictable though, depending on how it’s handled. And at the time it came out the idea probably wasn’t as common.
Anyway.
Back to your regularly scheduled program about me loving Michael Biehn.
He brought such a charm to the role. Sure, Kyle had no idea how to interact with people, but he was a solider with trauma and he was several years in the past.
Although, we never saw him interact with anyone besides Sarah, so maybe he was just awkward as heck because he was in love with her.
Guess we’ll never know.

Lance Henriksen is still amazing and I love him. It was weird to see him smile and stuff, cause the only other thing I’ve seen him in person in was Aliens (1986), in which he was an android.
A blessed android that I loved, but an android nonetheless.
Also, the fact that everyone listed above is connected in some way except Schwarzenegger is kinda hilarious.

Rick Rossovich was on screen for like, four minutes, but I fell in love with him anyway. He seemed like such a friendly guy. Also, he put up a pretty decent fight, so kudos.

Bill Paxton. I love him. He had maybe five lines, but I see him in anything, and I clap. The hair, though. And also the iconic Terminator line. XD
Why’d they all have to die though? I loved them all so much. I’m devastated. They were all amazing and excellent and sweet and iconic and so lovable.
I’m upsetti.
Mom’s spaghetti.
Also, I love the detail that Kyle automatically went to the dog because they did that in the future to make sure they weren’t cyborgs. Great attention to detail!
The movie was shot so well. It was shot like a horror film.
