billy player tutorial

hi guys! i just learned how to install a billy music player on my blog and many people have asked how to install it! so here are the 9 easy steps you need to follow! i hope it’s easy for you guys as well :-)

1. go to billy player website (here)

2. notice it tells you to link the songs for your playlist as an mp3. (this is where most people need help) go to a website were you can get links to songs as an mp3. i used (this) website.

3. look for the songs you want where it indicates to search.

4. once you find the song... click download and it will open another tab with the song’s link. (if it doesn’t open a new tab and instead it redirects you to another website, don’t use the link. try one of the other mp3′s to the song.)

5. copy the link and paste it onto the billy player website. (if the song you want is not on the website i provided, try finding another website that has it.)

6. once you’ve added the songs you want, click on generate code. 

8. copy the code.

9. once you’ve copied the code, paste it on your description or anywhere you want it!

That’s it! you now have a mini billy music player!

Hey could you help me with the billysheep music player you have? I tried to paste the links from dropbox but it won't work :-(

getting billy players to work has been the bane of my existence for like two years, i understand your pain hun. i will do my best!

okay so this is what the html looks like for mine right now:

which means your dropbox link should look something like this:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/jlsdqba4hnmjbsb/6.%20London.mp3?dl=1

which you can get by finding the file in your dropbox account, clicking the “share” button, copying the link that pops up, and changing the ‘dl=0’ at the end to ‘dl=1’

some other helpful tips:

make sure the filename is pretty simple, no funny characters

i’m like 99% sure the file has to be an mp3, so no m4a’s

make sure you can access the file in incognito mode in case it’s private instead of public

the billy player folks have a help page here too just in case

How did you get billy player to work? Where do you get the hot links from?

ive been getting alot of these.. its actually very simple and the instructions/tutorials are on the website of billy player itself.

how did you get that music player?

Grab the URL for the youtube video (or at least I find that easier) of the song(s) you want

Than go to kiwi6.com and upload it to that site

Copy the direct link for the song

Then go here and then follow the instructions on that site.

After you have the code, I just placed mine in my description box below everything I wrote
