Bully Colbert is a contemporary artists based in D.C. whose work is a reflection of the whirlwind and dissonance of popular culture. His bright, layered pieces, like "Ladder, Adolescence", merge together color, symbolism, and media to convey a sense of the chaos of contemporary life. In 2007, Colbert created a series entitled, "Corporate Merger", which combined commercial imagery that engulfed the streets surrounding bus shelters into a fresh, iconic poster. More recently in 2016, he worked on a project in D.C.'s Hecht Warehouse District entitled "Synthesized." . .
