Sherlock’s logic would have him advise you to get the black, because honestly, it’s a food processor and what does it...
Sherlock doesn't seem to be the best person to ask about the design of kitchen appliances. Have you seen the incredibly clashing wallpaper pattern he lives with? He'd be one of the best people to ask about "durability of appliances during non-standard use" with John narrowly beating him because John probably has a better overview over how long ago he had to replace the toaster and the microwave because of Sherlock's experiments.

wait and go red! stick to your color coordinating guns.
I mean black is, apart from grey, my favourite colour but colour-coordinating is nice. But then again how many other appliances will match?

online wouldn't be a problem, apart from the hefty price tag. These things retail for upward of 500 USD here, so getting one for half the price is the only reasonable way of getting one. Apart from my loyalty point scheme but that takes time.

I would hold out for the red one. Because you will only notice the difference more once you get it home.
That's what my brain tells me too. If it wasn't available in red I would not think about that for a second but knowing that I could've gotten a red one instead...

Are you planning on leaving both appliances out?
I have no idea. That really depends on how big my kitchens will be. These appliances will last for the next 30 or so years and I will probably have more than one kitchen in that timeframe. In my current place we don't have the counter space to leave anything out but one day I will have more space and then hopefully I can leave them both out.
