Bilsky BTS 🥰🥰
New HC based on Piper's reaction to Billy's reaction: They met in JAM.
Safe closet 😌🏳️🌈
My Bilsky hcs and the single one I cannot stop thinking about at the end 😣 it’s a problem guys (it’s pg Shameless in my head rn get me out of here)
I’ve never done anything like this before so be grateful I put in all the effort and don’t laugh at me pls 😭
My favorite dynamic in the show truly is probably Captain Man and Jeff. Police would bring Jeff in as a murder suspect and Cap would laugh them out of his face
what's your take on how kid danger's "death" affected jeff? (or any other of the people henry spent years fighting but i know you're interested in the bilsky's. though come to think of it i haven't seen you post about them in a while)
I am so so glad you asked because I do have an answer for this!!
So a commonly known fact about the Bilsky kids is that they don't have a father.
The most commonly known fact about Jeff is that he's a dumb criminal.
Ray expresses from the very beginning of the series that he does not like Jeff. Which tells us he knows him already. I don't flag this as family business related crime so much as crime of necessity, because a lot of what Jeff does is commonly associated with people in need. He steals car parts and food. He negotiated KD's life for food, not knowing it was Jasper, and still made it a point to feed him and Monica while they were kidnapped. That is a man who was raised in a position of parental authority working on a survival mindset and lower level education.
With that said, Captain Man is the elite authority figure in Swellview and as such, I think that Jeff sees him the same way Henry would. And his petty crimes are quite literally a cry for attention from Captain Dad. In terms of emotional maturity the bar is low enough for Jeff that even Ray as an authority would be a godsend for him.
I also think that as of The Whole Bilsky Family, Jeff would've been manhandled enough by Captain Man to have figured out his identity in the way Ray dragged him out of the house and he just accepted it.
All this to say, I think in that regard, Jeff looked at Kid Danger like an honorary brother. The Whole Bilsky Family gave us a lot to work with in terms of family dynamics with the Bilskys and they are truly one of the most stable family units in the show. And again, the feeding the kids when he had them, Mitch's over-excitement to see him, it paints a picture of a held-back adult who was a parentified kid.
Stuck in Two Holes was the only time I think Jeff ever used his fists, and he hit Kid Danger, and his immediate reaction was guilt. He loves Kid Danger. He treats him like a little thorn in his side whose hair he can ruffle and he can tease for stupid things. Including getting stuck in a hole. Jeff was one of two people in Henry's Birthday to wish him a happy birthday before the birthday song [that we know of]. And he was so excited to do it even after getting zapped.
Back to The Whole Bilsky Family, and my suspicion that he knows, I do think he grieved, and I think he was private about it, because he grew up in a role where he couldn't let his emotions affect him openly because it would throw off a whole household. And then I think he saw Henry at the back of the funeral party and maybe felt a twinge of relief. And I love that for him.
Fun fact: Bysh went through Henry's closet to steal a shirt before Mitch did
Mitch Bilsky joining extracurriculars is important to me. Even if his main goal was to hurt people
