I’ve come to a conclusion:

Stanley Pines’ favourite artist: Billy Joel

The boy from glass shard beach listens to the piano man who was raised in Hicksville, Oyster Bay, NY (yes that’s a real place). They’re both guys who boxed in their youth.

Both of them never graduated high school.

Both love, are OBSESSED with boats and sailing.

Both are gambling men

Both are famous for a vehicular crash (famous…infamous…)

Both have mental health issues

Both have had multiple marriages(almost marriages)

Both are stupid loyal and hold grudges and will spit them back into your face

all I’m saying is: Stanley Pines has an 8-track of Glass Houses (which he stole) in the Diablo for cruising. He’s got vinyl of The Stranger for when he’s feeling moody. There’s a CD of The Greatest Hits in the gift shop that Wendy can’t stand.

Hoe goed denk je iemand te kennen? Denk je dat iemand echt is zoals die zich voordoet? Of gaat er achter zo'n gezicht veel schuil waar je niets van weet? Iedereen heeft immers geheimen. Zelfs iemand die zo dichtbij je staat. En die je zo goed denkt te kennen. Maar hoe goed ken je hem of haar echt? Is iemand echt zo vrolijk zoals die overkomt? Of is het slechts een masker om ware gevoelens van binnen te verbergen voor de buitenwereld? En hoeveel laat je van jezelf zien? Ben jij altijd zoals je doet overkomen? Of camoufleer je ook liever hoe je jezelf van binnen voelt? Denk je iemand die je er dierbaar is werkelijk door en door te kennen? Of heeft zelfs die persoon geheimen waar je geen weet van hebt? En hoeveel geef je van jouw eigen geheimen prijs? Of zullen er altijd geheimen blijven die je voor jezelf houdt? En kennen jullie elkaar eigenlijk helemaal niet goed, maar zijn jullie in wezen vreemden voor elkaar?
