                   i think rosita is the only one for bruno who had made him feel like his gift wasn't a complete burden, and is the reason why he stayed in the casita. though it didn’t change his over-all view of how valuable he was to his family, he still knew that she, at least, wasn’t critical of him for the warnings he received of future events .  she instead always took it as an opportunity to prepare, to try to come to terms with it before it happens ...  i also think he was the one who told her that she was pregnant .

              it was a rare occasion that he and ronnie ever got in any serious sort of arguments. she was someone whom connor had believed had a supernatural ability for patience.  though neither of them were infallible, and perhaps connor had said a few things he didn’t mean. she has, too,  he’s sure.   ❛ ...i remember when i met you, thought the universe sent you. thought you were someone i could vent to. ❜  the second part could go unsaid, his eyes steady on hers, pursing his lips in a thin line.

                they were. they definitely should be working. not in the evidence room, one that connor had locked, with her sat on the table, connor stood just inches from veronica, his mouth chasing hers when she pulls back to ask the question on whether or not they should be doing something productive. 

                 ❛ … that is what we’re supposed to be doing. ❜  he responds, a trace of a smile present on his lips.    ❛ -- why? are you going to tell fowler about this? ❜  he’s joking,  of course.

             ❛  seriously?  ❜   it was hard for dan to imagine anyone turning her down, let alone him,  who had been practically head over heels for her the first moment he saw her in lux.  ❛ smash,  cherry. obviously. ❜

            jealousy was one of the few emotions connor hadn’t really experienced much of following his deviation. of course, there were always things that he yearned for, but he never had the real possessiveness over what he already had. he’d been going steady with veronica for some time, and they were both always so open and honest with one another, the thought of being worried that she may have eyes for another never crossed his mine until he saw her talking with him again,  the way that gavin looked at her,  the ease of which he made her smile, laugh. 

            connor was never someone that gavin saw as a threat, and the android still figures that he doesn’t take their relationship seriously to this day, doesn’t see connor as someone who is in his way. so hearing that veronica only ever wanted him, too, even when she was with gavin.. it should’ve helped,  but it didn’t,  he still felt the same unease, discomfort with the way that gavin looks at her like she’s a prize he’s still entitled to.  

            ❛ ... it’s alright,  you don’t have to say that. ❜   he tries to smile through his words, hoping it would provide as some sort of reassurance.  ❛ i know you cared for him.  i’m sorry, i know it isn’t like that any longer,  but i.. worry.  i love you,  ronnie. ❜

                  dans never had to handle conversations like these before.  normally,  if trixie was pissed off at him, he could wager some chocolate cake and she’d suddenly be on his side.  even in the later years of her life, they never really... lived together.  the conversations that they did have that ended a bit more heavy they always tended to have chloe to be a sort of mediator to keep the peace.  but he was alone on this. sure, he’s guilty of running to cereza every now and again to try to get insight on what sort of problems she may be having, even if cereza couldn’t always relate to the same troubles that daphe faced. 

                  ❛ ---- i know you’re upset. ❜   he doesn’t move to walk into her space, he lets her stay in her own room, alone -- not wanting to intrude.    ❛ i’m not going to make you talk to me, but i’m here to listen, if you ever come around. ❜  he gives her a restrained smile, and hesitates a moment before taking a half step back.       ❛ ...  have a good night,  daphne. ❜

                      regardless of the day, dan has gotten a habit of getting up at six am sharp. it was a tip that was given to him by his self-help book, scheduling his days to be relatively similar stopped him from feeling like his life was spiraling was out of control.  but this morning was different -- he had a woman in his bed. not something he’s had in some time. and, she was admittedly kind of cute when she was grumpy, her bedhead and smeared makeup still present from the night before. 

                      dan rolls himself off of the bed and lazily saunters across the room; clicking the off button. typically, this would get him up to start the day, but he had no need -- instead, turning back to slip under the covers with cereza, slipping his arms to wrap around her and pulling her in close.  he hopes she doesn’t mind.
