Back in MY day, only two starters got picked, the third was taken out back and euthanized! And you couldn’t breed your starters neither! You either restarted the game with a new choice or jumped somebody and stole their cartridge so you could trade all your magikarp for their starter!
Back in MY day, you couldn’t tell when your pokemon was gonna level up, it just happened! Sorta like the good old days when encounter battles couldn’t be stopped by no damn repel.
Back in MY day, we believed in pixels not all this confoundant 3D that makes you look like a Voltorb with legs!
