I’m hearing of a shooting in Haynesville. I hope it’s just a rumour and not true. Try to Stay safe people cause at this rate we like we ain’t even safe at home. Too many guns & ammunition on the streets. The source of the guns remains an unsolved mystery. If we really stop and consider the resources (medical staff, police, etc) being utilized to fight crime & treat victims of gun violence we can not continue like this. The authorities will say Gun Amnesty doesn’t work so don’t suggest it. If the police start placing mobile Units in certain communities someone will say it’s a discriminatory action. If someone says this seems like gang violence they will hear that BARBADOS Has no gangs. If someone tries to report a crime someone will call them a snitch. Everybody is in self preservation mode - it’s every man Jack for themselves as we wait with baited breath to hear what the Attorney General will say tomorrow during the national press conference. In the interim we pray and remain cognizant of our surroundings while hoping that no harm reaches us or those we love.
