Hours in the future, but not many, John was going on a date. It wasn’t a date out, but it was a date in. He’d never thought of her as dating material, but now he wasn’t sure why not. They had always had a good connection, and odds were, the fact that that good connection had only been when bad things were happening was the reason it had never popped into his head.

But bad movies and maybe handcuffs sounded like a good date in to him. He even wore a button up. Sure, it was with jeans, sneakers, and a nuka cola t-shirt, but a nice blue button up seemed to fit the whole actual date thing. He was actually rather excited about the whole thing, and didn’t know what to expect, but as he headed out, he could feel himself blush just thinking about it.
