Here’s a quick video from yesterday’s page showing the (somewhat tedious) process of highlighting and texturing Zaki’s hair in my web comic series BINARY STAR. I’m using one of JetPens’ Zebra Disposable Brush Pens - Extra Fine. They leave a nice, rough texture on the paper. For anyone wondering how I do Lola’s weird, leopard-spotted tentacle hair, here’s the routine I fell into: make some big spots with a JetPen, surround the bigger spots with smaller spots, and then go back in and fill all the empty areas with tiny Micron dots.
