On March 3rd 2018 I participated in the 24hr ReadathonbyZoe. This is the day I finally completed the audiobook of the Fellowship of the Ring. It has taken years for me to finally get around to this series, I have tried many times to start it but I really struggled to enjoy it... luckily audiobooks. Now to proceed with the rest of the series!!!!

He Heals the Wounded
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds [curing their pains and their sorrows]” (Psalm147:3).
We all have experienced circumstances in our lives that have broken our hearts. The weight of a broken heart hurts and is filled with the emotional wounds of fear, sadness, anger, and confusion. With our hearts carrying these heavy, negative emotions, our human nature has the tendency to fall into the abyss of self-pity, depression, or hopelessness. As we continue to experience all that negative energy, it becomes more and more difficult to resist the gloomy downward spiral of our feelings. Satan uses these negative feelings to put negative thoughts into our minds such as; God does not answer my prayers, my pain and hardship have lasted too long, nothing ever changes for the good, or it’s just the same old thing over and over. But in the middle of our pain and sorrow, the Lord gives us hope and promises us there will be a new day and a new beginning for those who will keep turning to Him for help and healing. He promises to heal our broken hearts, bind up our wounds, and cure our pain and sorrow.
Sometimes it is trying to have faith in God, especially when our emotional energy feels so pessimistic and downbeat. But the truth is this: He is close and feels the pain with us. He will take our pain and troubles as we release them to Him. Gradually, that is layer by layer, the Lord works on replacing these wounds of our broken hearts with His love and peace, and the miracle of healing begins to take place. As we grow spiritually in our relationship with Jesus, we will be able to depend and increasingly count on His love and faithfulness to take our soul, mind, and spirit, to a place of contentment where abundant life in Christ is discovered and embraced.
No matter how hard the circumstances or how broken our hearts, He promises to bring us to a new place where positive energy and spiritual enlightenment reign and govern our lives as we live one day at a time.
