We have been in love with the Balearics for a long time, but 2017 marked the year when one of my best uni friend moved back to Menorca. No wonder that translated into few lovely long week-ends and a perfect opportunity to put together a little Menorca guide and Menorca must see’s.

Our base for the 4 days girls getaway was Mahon – great to soak in Menorcan history and culture by evening and wander around this gorgeous island by day.

Casa Ladico is the perfect pied a terre and a gorgeous boutique hotel. The premises are charming and boutique: Menorcan old building with Mediterranean old charm renovated chic and sleek.

The personnel is enchanting and going the extra mile for each client. The location is right in the historic Mahon and few steps away gorgeous views over the harbour; for guests like us, there’s a green yard therapeutic and feng shui to forget about all, relax and dip in a swimming pool. Tranquillity, charm and eclectic go hand in hand. The dinners are superb, the wine selection gorgeous and the dishes exquisite. Opened in 2017, Casa Ladico makes a perfect couple getaway, parents retreat (no kids under 12!) or friends looking for exquisite dining, winning and soaking in Mediterranean vibes and rich Menorcan history.

My sweetest Menorcan friend treated us with 4 days organised at perfection. Sunset drinks by the lighthouse overlooking Mahon’s harbour, dinner at Casa Ladico, drinks in the glam & buzzy harbour.

Nature Reserve S’Albufeira next day, promenades by stunning lunar landscapes and the lighthouse Favaritx.

Late lunch in Binibequer Vell at Taberna del Corso – whoever did not have too much fun the day before, feasted on seared tuna, calamari, salads, pan con tomate and bottles of albarino.

A refreshing dip in the sea, nap on the beach by Cala Binibiquer and thereafter sunset drinks by Los Bucaneros – a lovely rustic chiringuito.

Saturday we danced away the night with gorgeous sailers at Isabella

Chill out on Sunday – sailing in crystal clear waters – Maldives looking like – life does not get sweeter than this.

Cava and lunch on the boat and thereafter more sailing and swimming at sunset by picturesque Fortalesa de la Mola and Castell de Sant Filip.

Sunday night we had a beautiful dinner in the middle of the vineyards at Binifadet – great catch up with my darling friends and many emotional moments.

The cuisine is local and exquisite– the ingredients are fresh and delicious, cooked at perfection and go greatly with Binifadet local wines.

Monday we wrapped up the Menorcan weekend by the local market in Mahon, another walk around the Harbour and thereafter the spectacular Cova d’en Xoroi.

Grateful for the most amazing friends and very lucky to go back to Menorca for a grown up blast, wining, dinning and chilling. We also wrote about our days in Menorca with kids in here and sailing kids included in here. We are all already planning to go back and looking forward to another long week-end in Mahon & around in 2018!
