When I was in Grade 6, I discovered Wattpad—a platform where people who love writing come together to share their stories. It was here that I encountered the works of Binibining Mia (I Love You Since 1892) and April Avery (Titan Academy of Special Abilities).
I vividly remember covering my mouth in excitement and kilig over their stories, even over the clichés and cheesy lines. At the same time, I cried my heart out whenever a beloved character had to die to advance the plot. It hurt so much, but I knew those moments weren’t mine to change—they were part of the authors' creation.
Over the years, I became deeply invested in their stories, which became my escape from the chaos of real life. I even used my first salary to buy books from National Bookstore to expand my collection. All in all, their works inspired me to believe in endless possibilities which eventually fuel my passion for writing.
For me, being a writer isn’t just about telling stories—it’s about pouring your heart into words and crafting ideas that connect with others. It’s challenging, yet incredibly rewarding. That’s why, if I could be anyone in the world, I would choose to be a great writer who touches readers' hearts and leaves a lasting mark.
