Fideus de vermar. Photos from Gastronòmicament and D.O. Binissalem.
Fideus de vermar ("grape harvest noodles") is a traditional dish from Mallorca (Balearic Islands) eaten around the month of September.
This dish is a spicy noodle soup in sheep broth with sheep meat, onion, garlic, tomato, thyme, marjoram, clove, a little bit of cinnamon, olive oil, salt, false pepper or allspice, a drizzle of wine, and Capsicum frutescens chilli pepper, and can also have pork sausage (botifarró and llonganissa).
It's very typical from the town of Binissalem. Every year on the last Sunday of September, Binissalem celebrates a communal meal with thousands of people to eat this dish. Last year, the meal gathered 22,000 people.

Joymen Mythology – Gozo-hombres Mitologia
English;
The artist group Joymen is a group of professional artists who have been active for more than two decades. The joyous men were born in the past to facilitate the solitude of the artists' work, to bring joy and community to the often well-isolated studio work. There is certainly nothing as uninteresting as a group of middle-aged male artists. But now, in the midst of identity political struggles, it can also be facilitating and liberating.
The basic idea of Joymen is to do things together, to share the Joy and energy of doing things with the members of the group as well as other people. Joymen also wants to break the myth of the self-drilling artist genius. All the works are done together, the making of all is equally valuable. We also hope that these starting points will be communicated to viewers. Together we are good - and best of all - also happier.
The group has organized meetings, exhibitions, performances, encounters both inside and outside the exhibition spaces. Some of the exhibitions and events have been more traditional exhibitions, some more communal, interactive, participatory and experimental.
For this exhibition, the Joymen have created their own understanding of northern mythology - The Mythology of Joymen – transported into the warm Mediterranean waves.
