A drink that will wake you up and keep you lean. Bulletproof Coffee is used by different people for different reasons: Some use it while intermittent fasting to skip breakfast, some use it to liven up their cognitive function, some use it for fat loss as a meal replacement. Bulletproof coffee has 'good fats' that let you stay full and avoid eating until lunch. Now, why would you do that? Studies show that whenever you eat, you spike insulin in your body. Now insulin is good when you are eating just the right amount but if you exceed that, which we excessively do at every meal, then you are on the bad side of it. After your body stores the energy it needs using insulin, the excess is then turned into fats. So to avoid this process and to let your body use the stored energy (fats) until lunch, nutritionists recommend avoiding insulin spikes apart from lunch and dinner. That's where this drink comes in. As fats don't usually spike insulin, you can get away with Bulletproof coffee. Plus the butter and oil keep you away from hunger and the inclusion of coffee helps you jolt your brain into work mode. Recipe in writing; 1. Prepare black coffee (any blend you like) 2. Add a tablespoon of butter 3. And a tablespoon of MCT or Coconut Oil. 4. You can either blend it if you are at home or you can also stir it normally. 5. There you have it. Give it a try and let us know if you like it and if it helps you curb your untimely hunger. The recipe is developed by a guy named Dave Asprey, who is a bio-hacker and owner of the company, Bulletproof. Hence the name.
