Being a bio major on summer break got me thinking shit like:
“God I really wish I could put some pond water under a microscope and follow around a pond puppy (Paramecium) for a while”

1st year bio exam is like what are the Six Kingdoms Of Life? 😯 🐅🐘😊🌿🦠🍄🥰
4th year bio exam is like you have 50 minutes to make an animal from scratch
The World's Biggest Joke
Being a pre-med is a humiliation ritual, and I hate everyone. It's like being the living embodiment of that yellow emoji with the weird cap asking for money. The doctors won't let you shadow, MCAT prep is literally expensive, and other pre-meds are usually know-it-alls with sticks so far up their aah they should be considered human popsicles. I hope all of my fellow struggling Pre-Meds get into the school of their dreams and match into their dream specialty.

Being a science major is fucking wild because I am sitting in a panera bread labeling dissections from a lab earlier this week while eating mac n cheese. And I am not even revolted.
as someone who read project hail mary in sophomore year of high school, college freshman me ADORED the movie. SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
i absolutely love grace’s arc. old grace would have went back to earth instead of saving rocky, and i like the timing of the flashback of grace being forced to go on the mission. old grace would’ve put himself first, but new grace put his friend first.
the beatles’ “two of us” playing while grace saves rocky also foreshadows the fact that grace’s home isn’t earth, but it’s erid. “we’re on our way home” is sung as the hail mary flies back to rocky. without background context, you might’ve thought grace was going back to earth with this song playing in the background, but he’s going HOME, to erid, where he truly belongs.
i also love how rocky’s mate’s gender is never specified. “you have a mate? what’s THEIR name?” made my gay heart so happy. and even though adrian is a reference to the rocky movies, it is still a gender neutral name. i love the ambiguity of rocky and adrian’s relationship. love is love!
one complaint though, THEY DIDN’T CENTER THE TUBES IN THE CENTRIFUGE!!!!!
