Hah... another all nighter for me 😦. I’m currently studying protein transport through the different organelles inside the cell like the nucleus and mitochondria. And while I do get abysmal grades when it comes to exams, I genuinely enjoy learning. Well, I guess that’s part of being a college student 😅
this year you can't have bio120 and chem138 labs at the same time on any day off the week (alternating) right? cause all the times are different?
No you can't have them at the same time but I don't know if it's prohibited to have them in the same week although most people do have them alternate weeks. Bio labs are generally different times - their afternoon labs are 1-4 whereas chem afternoon labs are 2-5
bio120 has no tutorials?
Not mandatory ones that you sign up for but more like "After class" ones
have you heard of any good proffesors for bio120?
Its the same ones for night and day for bio 120 (which is only offered during F) and theyre really good
what is better to take first Bio130 or bio120?
You don't really have a choice. 120 is only offered first semester and 130 only offered second

For bio 120 there isn't a choice but the ones you have (Thompson and Barrett) are really good.
For bio 130 - Professor Yip (the night prof) is better
For chm (either) whichever doesn't have Browning

It really just depends on you. I've known people who've done well in both, more better than one than the other or just terrible in both.
I think it might be more likely in bio130 since about 1/3 or 1/4 of it is high school biology review
hi is it hard to get into BIO120 and BIO130? Im planning to take those this year but i'm not in the life science program, im in the humanities.. i have the pre-requisites for those courses. i wanna take them cause i wanna major in biology later on. thanks!
Nope, shouldn't be a problem at all. Even if you're waitlisted, you're bound to get in because they are both huge classes and there are daytime and nighttime options for both
