can you go in and out of the different colleges to use their resources? Like go to woodsworth but use trins library..?

Definitely. Generally people stick to their own library (not including Robarts) just because it’s closer to their residence but of course! You are most definitely allowed to use the other libraries. You will have classes at other colleges and can even be part of another college’s program but belong to a different college. Also, it’s really cool checking out new places and other college’s libraries and study spaces because they’re all nice and different. You get to see different kinds of people in all of them.Speaking of, I really love the Trin library. There’s just a lot of wood so it feels like a warm environment.

im looking into UofT St. George for september 2016, but i have no idea where to start with picking a college.. Any tips?

If you can’t visit, I would just recommend looking at the websites and the individual requirements for each college and see which one fits best for your personality and major(s)

You mentioned in your post about the colleges that Trin has a grade requirement? What sort of grades are they looking at? With mid-80s, would a student be able to get accepted into that college?

Possibly. I'd say at least 90's to be sure you'll get in

Do you know anything about Innis? I picked them as my first and I applied for life science. I'm someone who doesn't like to party too hard and or anything but I do like watching tv shows and movies and hanging out. Would Innis be a good place for me?

what's the acceptance rate at vic like? how many people apply and how many get in?

This should be on the website. If it's not then it's not something I know. I got into Vic. To get into Trinity or Victoria, you have to put them as your number one option. On top of that, there's a certain gpa requirement. I don't remember the exact #s but it's about >3.5 for both. Trinity's requirement is a tiny bit higher. Pretty much everyone I knew was from Vic and I hadn't heard of people applying to Vic and not getting in. As long as you have good grades and put it as your #1 choice, you should be good. The Vic One program, however, is a different story. That is a lot more competitive.

heyy, I was wondering if there were lots of parties at uoft? I've heard that people there dont have a social life and stuff xx

There are parties but you just have to find them and know people. Sometimes you can randomly go to one but the buildings are generally locked. Otherwise, people live in off-campus apartments so it's also needing to know the right people. So I would recommend just meeting as many people as you can. But the cool thing is, in a year, everyone goes out to the Madi or bars so anyone can go as long as you're of age.

how does it undergrad year work? we dont announce majors/minors yet right? do we just attend classes? and also, what twelfth grade grades do you think it'll take to get into the english program?

All the requirements are generally in the calendar for each major/minor. A lot of majors require a certain gpa or a certain percentage/grade in certain classes. So some majors may just want a good gpa, some majors don't care as much about your other classes as long as you do well in your major classes.

You sign up for classes you need for your major and your breadth requirements. After a year you can declare your major online. There's a certain time period when you're allowed to do this, I forget when.

A's and B's. At least a 3.5 gpa to in high school, I would think.

Hows the medical program at UofT? I mean in comparison to Mcmaster or western, I know they are very competitive but also one of the top med schools... Is UofT a good med program to be in?

Tips on what to write on the Victoria College student profile? It asks you about "three regular activities outside of class", what it means to be a good citizen, and "how you plan to get the most out of your undergraduate education at Victoria College". I have a fair bit written, but I don't exactly know what the "right" thing to say is. I'm especially confused about the extra curriculars question because it asks for point form, but to still "briefly describe your role" in the activities.

Sorry for the late response. I'm sure you did great on the application. As for the "right" answer - it is whatever you think it is. If the formatting is strange, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just fill it out to the best of your ability

There is absolutely a pre-med society at u of t.

im in high school and am doing well in the ib program. does uoft admire the ib program and would be more likely to accept a student who, say has a 3.7 gpa in ib than a 3.9 gpa in academic?

Things like AP and IB are known to be tougher than regular high school classes and I'm sure the people who look over applications do that

im in grade 11 and thinking about uoft. i want to become an ob/gyn, what courses would i take for now? is there a pre-med program?

There's not an official pre-med program. I would make sure I'm taking all the necessary science, math, and english classes required to get into UofT and to possibly get ahead.

for my top 6? And that is pretty good so probably. Your chances are good

Hi! so I understand there is no essay in the application, does that mean acceptance is based purely on gpa and test scores? do they care about clubs and community service?

For my acceptance, it seemed to be solely on grades. But obviously, it is always recommended to have a well-rounded application
