I just wanted a record that proved the giant missing piece of chitin from that time I was caught in a psionic blast had healed. It doesn’t match, obviously, but, you know. It’s also a good picture of my biolum! It’s a little faint, but it’s there.
It's been a while since I made a new character...
BIOLUM of the Deep (He/It)
Height at shoulder: 15 feet
Biolum is an ancient entity dwelling in deep crevices near underwater volcano vents, and feeds on jellyfish, deep sea corals, and other colorful creatures which increases its color. Its origin is unknown, though cave paintings suggest it is a member of an extinct species. It seems to be a mature specimen.
It's exact age is unknown, but it carries itself in an almost arrogant way and believes it is superior to other life forms. They say its mouth contains a thousand tongues.
Somewhat bioluminescent, it only comes onto land in search of a mate. The bright points of color are believed to be attractive in the species, such as vibrant songbird males. What Biolum isn't aware of, however, is that it is the last of its species.
our summer trip brought us to cannes where I literally only made one picture. its this sad one of an empty auditorium. but in my defense i had lost my phone there... instead somebody else made the headline: https://www.screendaily.com/news/le-ballon-rouge-childcare-scheme-proves-boon-for-families-in-cannes/5161669.article and it turns out other people also have phones ;-)
our projects "traitors of the eyes" and "biolum" brought us to lovely places this summer; always with our trusted foxes mobile home. here are some images from the road.
what started in march with the release at sxsw had a long and succesful carreer throughout the summer and is now released via steam: our vr "biolum": https://store.steampowered.com/app/1183700/Biolum and for those who want a sneak-peek and listen to a re-view of the experience, go here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2CO-iIOUJ0&t=2465s&ab_channel=VirtualStrangers
