I’m only on chapter 72 but it’s interesting and it doesn’t take too long to pick up. got more invested in the ch 16-18 arc, and the murim arc has a really strong start. The usual amount of ableist language from action/adventure webnovels tho. also true to its name suicide is a regression mechanic which could understandably turn folks away.

I'd just like to suggest that you play this really fun new release on Steam called Hollow Knight. I've really enjoyed it, as it's this bug-themed Dark Souls-style Metroidvania, with a wonderful art style, memorable characters, and engaging platforming and combat. I'm trying to see if I can give it more exposure, as it's sincerely one of the best games that have come out recently (in my opinion). Give it a try if you can, I think you'd enjoy it.

it takes a while to build up, I’m on ep 137 - the first like... 20 eps of the season seem largely unrelated while establishing some reocurring characters, and it’s starting from maybe ep 40 where there’s the statements happen alongside more obvious overarching plot. but I also gotta say that stuff in the first 20 episodes is actually relevant later - the coffin shows up again 60 episodes in, and is super expanded on somewhere in the 100s. you actually get an explanation for the angler fish. it’s slowburn plot

it’s legitimately not f/f but according to the spoiler thread, villainess loves mc, it’s unrequited, she never falls in love again and tries to support mc like a good friend. I’m so pissed. Usually in this subgenre there’s a few moments of ‘oh mc is absolutely a gal who likes gals’ but it’s usually not so egregious. actually that’s a lie there’s a lot of that but it’s usually not so significant to the premise itself. someone rewrite this without green guy

I'd like to agree with the previous ask about the Sunless Sea. It's really good! I was actually so excited by the first experience that I recently bought a game kickstarted by a guy who was helped and funded by the people who did sunless sea called A House of Many Doors. The writing is so enthralling.

ah, that’s good to know! It’s always looked good to me but, y’know, you can never know for sure just by how a game looks (I have been disappointed plenty of times). Definitely gonna check it out when I get the chance
