Six months to a year sounds realistic to me. And it's not like he just shakes it off it'll still bother him.
Seeing as it’s part of why he seeks out Bull and Curtis for an introduction to d/s then slowly gets addicted somewhat to subspace...yeah, sounds accurate. I just need to discover other ways to work it in as I write.
biorhythmicadaar replied to your post: Does anyone have any insight into how ...
It depends on your drug history, what you’re on, how addicted you are, and what your support network is like. I of one woman who stayed in the same rehab for fourteen years for heroin.
Really? I had an (ex know) uncle who was somewhat like that, except it was pain meds and had more to do with rehab bouncing than anything else... But on a somewhat happier note, maybe six months to a year might make sense for Cullen then? He would have a support system waiting for him on the outside (Cassandra and Leliana along with his family) but he would still have a lot of therapy to work through, both physically and mentally.

If apple was more cooperative than it wouldn't be a problem...but that's the world we live in. If you want a gaming computer that'll last a few years bite the bullet and get a gaming laptop. Don't waste time building one.
Basically if it’d stop being super pretentious? Yeah... Hopefully I can get a job that will allow me to save up for one somehow or have my mom pay for half of it for my birthday. They looks to be around $200 possibly which is a lot less bad than I had been imagining in my head.

This is what happens when you people choose the wrong computer. Come to Jesus and get a sane computer
Considering all the cool games are PC driven, I’m honestly tempted to just get a small one sort of like stillarobyn‘s write-o-mac which can just be for video games and writing. I can already hear her saying what a horrible idea this is, but, heck, I have a birthday coming up...

Distance is good for that kind of thing. If someone won't let go sometimes the best thing to do is force it :\ And some people just won't own what they do. Good luck, hang in there.
I’m gonna do my best to, promise <3 With any luck channeling out positive thoughts/energy means you have to get the same back?

(Get to know me) Yu-Gi-Oh! version
No.4 - Favorite Yu-Gi-Oh villain
Seto Kaiba, of course. When you meet him in the manga, he definitely qualifies as a villain. But from the moment you meet him, there’s an intensity to him, a sense that there’s a lot more going on under the surface than you’re seeing. As I followed him through the rest of the story, I found myself thinking back to the early manga and understanding more of what went on there and why with each episode.
No. 8 - That character(s) that you just can’t hate no matter how much you try
This is going to sound awful, because he’s basically a scared, lonely 10-year old who died, but when Noa is first introduced I really hated him. Cruelty is probably the vice I dislike the most and Noa had that in abundance. It took until midway through the arc for me to really start to see him not just as a child, but as a doomed child as well, and then by the end of the arc I dissolved into a sobbing mess.
No. 9 - Favorite relationship/friendship (in general)
Well, if we’re including headcanon, prideshipping (lol). Even without headcannon, I really love the dynamic between the two of them, how it’s this complex mix of rivalry, genuine anger, respect and a hesitant, fragile trust and ultimately, friendship and understanding. I like how Kaiba is often the person Yami needs to keep fighting, and how Yami is the first person to be truly interested in Kaiba’s welfare, who really wants to see him reach that true future he’s aiming for.
No.15 - Favorite went bad character
Pegasus. I find all of Pegasus’ affectations hilarious, from his over the top comments to the way he draws out the “o” in Kaiba-boy just to annoy him. But in contrast to his flat-out entertainment value, there’s also real cruelty to his actions. There’s the sense that having been the victim of fate, he really enjoys making other people feel as helpless and despairing as he does. If misery loves company, Pegasus wants Yugi and (especially) Kaiba to share his.
His actions – and the glee he takes in the pain he’s causing – are completely detestable, making him a good villain. At the same time, I’m really glad that you get some closure on his story, that you understand him better, that even in the manga, he tries to make amends and offers an explanation for how he went so badly wrong. Even more, you get the sense that he realizes not only how horrific his actions were, but that in his drive to find his lost love, he ended up dishonoring her memory instead.
No.16 - Your favorite ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) moment/scene
My favorite moment is probably from the duel with Isis where Kaiba is about to call on Obelisk to attack and then sacrifices him for his Blue Eyes White Dragon, changing his destiny in the process. I love the duel because it’s so rare that Kaiba gets to be the hero and his point of view gets to carry the day. But I love that his message - that people have not only the right but the responsibility to determine their own path - is the one that wins. Yes, he’s seeing visions of the past, but he’s the one deciding to follow their cryptic message. And the anime sequence is just so lovely. I like that they let the music and the pictures carry the story, leading up to the moment when he summons his dragon and tells it to tear open his future.
Everyone is assuming Irving has a lot more power than he actually does. He would absolutely be made tranquil in five seconds flat if he went against the orders given to the Circle in any significant way. Orsino was powerless, Irving was powerless, and to pretend otherwise is more victim blaming imo. They were all handed shit situations. (And shall we forget that Irving deliberately hanged Lily with her own rope in the mage origins? This is not a guy who is a Chantry patsy.)
Except in this instance it’s not about the fact Irving should have stopped it, no one is saying (or at least no one should be saying) Irving shouldn’t have let it happen if his life was at risk.
Rather it is that Irving is said to have regretted being kind and lenient with Anders, he regretted being understanding with Anders. Instead of offering comfort and understanding when they took Karl away, Irving (who did have this power as implied in WoT) threatened and then added more scrutiny on Anders. As soon as Karl was gone, rather than trusting Anders, Irving immediately went to Anders told him not to run and then issued him Templar guards without any actual reason or proof.
After years of getting his act together, Irving turned right around and assumed the worst from Anders again.
The fact is, Irving does have some power, more than you might think and instead of using his power to comfort or educate Anders (which is his job as First Enchanter), he used it to come down on him in accusations of something he may do. Which was incredibly ignorant, because 1) who even knows if Anders would have even thought to run if Irving hadn’t given him the idea and 2) if you (openly) expect the worst from someone, they more often then not are going to give you what you expect.
As for the keep Anders and Karl together thing, that was pointed more towards the Circle as a whole. Rather than Irving himself.
