Fixing my PC's motherboard - Part 2 [July 4, 2021]
Hello! Fortunately I don't need to wait, because my parents just purchased a brand new motherboard for my current pc 👨👩😃; albeit in a different brand, instead of getting the same model as the broke one. The name of the brand is BioStar (a Taiwanese computer hardware company), model no.: H110MHC ver. 7.0. Unfortunately I can't find the ver. 7.0 of this motherboard, so the ver. 7.1 is the closes one, and they're look the same [CLICK ME!]. This motherboard cost ₱1,800 💵 (see the price tag from my photos) ($36) from the computer shop in Quiapo, Manila, and I have to say it's a fair bargain. But will it fit it on my PC desktop?
• Well as you can see, it fits okay, much like the old MSi motherboard (H110M-Pro-VH). And in terms of size, the BioStar H110MHC motherboard had a less compare to the tall size of the old MSi motherboard. But at least there's a little amount of space, so that's a plus. Not to mention there's a hefty weight with my usual CPU and heatsink attached. Now the question is, will it work?
•After I assemble all the important components and plug-ins, my PC is now back in function! I can finally back in the saddle, and do what I'm do best!😁🖥️🖱️ Now the only missing is the backplate for this new motherboard (3rd Image), hopefully I will find it via Shopee / Lazada online shopping sites if possible. But nonetheless, I'm very happy to use my pc once again!😊 So thanks mom & dad! I love you, and someday I will repay it when I go lucky chance.😉
• [6th Image] Uh yeah, I also plug in the two LED lights on the front, just want to see the indication. And also I plugged the reset switch button, and it works well. Now I don't need to long press from the power button just to restart my PC from the certain situation(s).🙂
• Once again, I'm very happy to go back doing stuff on my PC. And my parents appreciates their purchased of this new motherboard, just to replace my broken one. So what's lesson learn here? Well don't touch nor fix the sensitive parts, because motherboard had a weak spot on each part around. So I have to be careful during me changing thermal paste onto the CPU processor. And while I added; I'll try not to remove the processor chip from the CPU pins in my future clean up, because that's the part when I broke my old MSi motherboard.😌
Well that's all for now. If you want to see my Part 1, then please [CLICK ME!].😉
